This is the pre 64 Winchester 30-30 my Grandpa gave me some years ago. I’ve only shot it a handful of times.

Winchester 94 Big Bore chambered in 356 Winchester. Really would like to hunt with this gun more often but ammo cost and availability is a HUGE factor with this one. Its a shame to because it really thumps the pigs hard!

Rossi in 45 Colt. It has made an excellent little hunting rifle.

Glenfield Model 30A that was purchased new by my grandfather. My uncle inherited after grandfather passed away. When my uncle passed, my cousins gifted the rifle to me. I had the entire thing gone through and Ceracoated along with the camo dip on the stocks. New scope and mounts. It is by far my most prized firearm. My grandpa killed truckloads of deer with this rifle, and I was thrilled to continue the legacy.

While I have owned a few over the years, I am left with only these two. These are the only two rifles I own that are not semi-autos.

Marlin Levermatic in .22lr
Made in 1956-57. The lever only opens +/- 1.5" and it is a heavy rimfire rifle. They are not rare, but not very common. It is a very fun rifle to shoot.
I added the pillows, they are not stock....

As I've always been fond of levers, there's several in my battery. Starting at the wee end: Henry Frontier .22

My old 1894 CB in .45 Colt. This one rides in a scabbard on the UTV or on the tractor, never far from hand.

Marlin 1895 CB in .45-70. It's put leopard on the wall and bison in the freezer...for when a heavy-loaded .45 Colt ain't QUITE enough.

Re: Lever action pics - 11/14/18 07:58 PM

WP,

Great trio! I had a Camp Carbine in .45 ACP a few years ago but let it find a new home. I loved the idea but somehow couldn't love the platform. Oh well, that's what makes horse races!

And good job on the hog! The .45 Colt is (I believe) more capable than a lot of folks give it credit for...

I often take my old pre 64 Win 30-30 for a walk during deer season. Dropped a couple of deer and pigs with it. I also have a model 1873 in 38-40. I got it about 40 years ago, took it and killed a deer. Then cleaned it and put it away. I have a box of OLD cartridges.

Re: Lever action pics - 01/22/19 05:11 PM

Here's my favorite gun so far. Winchester 1892 in 38-40, mfg date of around 1896 I think. Absolutely love shooting it. Unfortunately someone did a bad refinishing job on it before I got it, this only makes me want one that's been left original even more. Still hope to get an 1873 one of these days. [Linked Image]

Man, Cowboy...I'm jealous as all heck! I've been looking for a 336 Cowboy in .30 WCF (character or not!). Glad to see that they do, in fact, exist!
