Well we are on our final prototype for the AXIOM action. This is a 3 lug 60* throw with pinned rail and lug for a price of $750.

This is a prototype. There will be some slight changes to production.

Shown here with our bottom metal and 3 rd hunting mag flush fit.

Should be taking orders in about 3 weeks!

That is a very good looking action, and reasonably priced too.

I've got a 6.5 Creed I'll sell you now. Just think how bad you would have beaten me with a custom 6.5! bang

I already tote around a 14lb rifle, it's become my go to walking hunting rifle, I don't need another pig. One day I will get that AR10 scoped and use it. And when you decide to sell the new one let me know

What am I missing, is Fitz building another?

Re: AXIOM action - 05/27/16 11:03 PM

Yes BIL, I traded an AR10 to Wade for the Curtis action he won...I need all the help I can get!

It is going to be SWEET!

Chase is doing all the work
Curtis AXIOM action with 20 MOA rail
Mueller SS Heavy Varmint, flutted and finished at 26"
Chambered in 6mm SLR
Jewel Trigger
Manners T6A in sage camo and will be bedded by Joel Russo
Vortex 4.5-27x56 Razor HD Gen II with Seekins Rings

It is going to be an awesome rig.

I like it except 26" and heavy but it's going to be nice. Good thing bp wouldn't know a good gun if he held one

Just couldn't justify the price when it won't make me any money. But if it makes you feel better, I'll have me a new Savage 10 in 6.5 Creedmor for next years competition lol35

Re: AXIOM action - 05/28/16 08:15 AM

Chase what's the difference in the vector other than bolt fluting and being AW compatible. I'd definitely order one if it can be opened up for AW mags. Also the site stats a "tuned FCG by Greg tannel", does it include a trigger, I'm lost on that one. If not, are you running a hanger system like the tempest? I also assume this will be compatible wi ty have badger bottom metal?

Re: AXIOM action - 05/28/16 03:50 PM

I think the main difference is the Vector has a milled in pic rail, and recoil lug. Meaning that is all from one piece of steel. The Axiom has a pinned recoil lug, and is tapped for pic rail screws.

Re: AXIOM action - 05/30/16 03:05 AM

Spoke with Chase a few nights ago. The axion rail spacing isn't the same as the rem 700, its drilled for talley ring bases, the rail will be double pinned with 8-40 screws. Also, it can be relieved for AW mags. There is NOT a hanger system like the tempest(I'm glad), guys have having hell with misfires due to this. The firing pin has been tuned. I'll be waiting to see when it's available.
