Bond derringers - 04/12/16 11:19 PM

I shot one in .410/.45 Colt. It almost took two fingers to get the trigger to go bang must have a 100 pound trigger pull. You cant hit chit with one.

There is a secret to accuracy with the Bond. But I can't divulge the secret because I can't text that long a reply.

I'm just saying its not bad for what it is. Mine, anyway. It's a derringer, a bellygun. The trigger is awful but I never thought I'd have to use two fingers. Looks like Buzz needs his worked on.

I was shooting the .410's at hand thrown clays. Just took a ton of pull. shouldn't be that heavy though. probably why I don't own one.....

Will a .410 derringer chamber a 460 S&W round? Just curious.

Did you call Bond? i've never seen one that had that issue.

Re: Bond derringers - 04/15/16 02:35 AM

My Cobra derringer appeared at first to have a very hard pull. What I find is if you pull in a downward angle on the trigger it reduces the amount of pull needed.
Perhaps it is the same with the Bond derringers. As far as accuracy, most derringers are designed for very close range.

I saw a 45-70 derringer the other day. That's all I have to say about that.

That would have a slight amount of muzzle blast.

I can't even fathom. Those 45's and 410's are tough enough in one.

If you're using a Derringer for self defense trigger pull is the least of your worries. Just sayin'

Re: Bond derringers - 04/17/16 05:48 PM

The trigger pull on every Bond Arms derringer I've ever tried was horrible. That's the reason I don't own one.
