Waiting on my 22 suppressor and wondering if anyone has a 10/22 they've shot suppressed? Does it cycle subs? are supers quiet?

My 10/22 is NOT threaded but it has trouble cycling regularly some sub sonics. Also, if my semi auto 22 pistols would shoot the subsonics, then it usually had more trouble shooting them suppressed with my sparrow.

U can take that for its worth, not much really. I got a savage bolt with factory threading and it my favorite 22 host gun.

Yeah I've been thinking of just getting either the Ruger American or Savage Mark II since they will shoot subs with no issues. Thanks for the info

The extra back pressure from the suppressor will make it work with subs out of a standard length barrel. You can also radius the bolt to make it even easier to cycle.
Mine works fine suppressed and unsuppressed with only a 5.5" barrel

Literally, the biggest sound out of my savage bolt with can is the trigger/firing pin click. After that, there is only a small whisper if u shoot subsonic ammo.

It obviously won't be as quiet as the bolt gun but how quiet is the 10/22 suppressed?

It still Hollywood quiet, really not too much different than the bolt action. You can hold the action closed if you want bolt action quiet

Same here. You hear the click of the firing pin and then you hear the bullet hit the target.

I have a 10/22 with threaded barrel and suppressor. I find that I rarely shoot it suppressed though. Unsuppressed the gun shoots lights out. As soon as I put the suppressor on, it's all over the place. I just gave up on it and majority of time i shoot, I have plugs in anyway so kind of pointless. Now I do shoot my 22 pistol suppressed because I dont really care about accuracy that much.

After shooting my bolt .22's suppressed, I am always disappointed when I shoot the 10/22 with a can. All that action noise and gas escaping makes a lot of noise. What can are you running Jeeper, AWC can on my 10/22 actually helped the accuracy, it was not an accurate gun out of the box, and still isnt that accurate, but more so with the can.

There is a kit you can install to make your 10/22 a single shot for the quietest operation. It's on RFC site. My 10/22 shoots lights out suppressed, and it added AutoMatch as an accurate ammo on top of Wolf MT.

Dude, if you're looking for a 22lr, there's really only two choices, a(or a few) 10/22, or a Win 52. Alternate choice is CZ 45x.

I shoot my 10/22 suppressed and it is awesome. Cycles subs flawlessly and is super quiet.

Another thing funny I noticed with .22s suppressed. When I shoot supersonic ammo out of my pistol with a can, it doesn't actually go supersonic and is just as quiet as the subs are. When I shoot it out of the rifle, it does reach supersonic and isn't whisper quiet anymore. Moral of the story is I don't have to waste money on subs for the pistol, only the rifle.
