Converting 700 adl to bdl or detached magazine

What is the most inexpensive way to convert an adl? What all do I need to buy and do? Do I need a new stock?

Need this stuff plus a bdl stock.

Stock and bottom metal.

If you look around you can find factory stock and bottom metal pretty cheap. Lot of people toss them when when the use a bdl as doner action.

You will need a BDL mag box, bottom metal and have the stock cut out for the new config.
Or buy a stock already cut for BDL metal.
Detach mag systems will cost more (at least double) than a BDL conversion.

If you have a grinder you can get by with just a stock and floor plate. You will have to square up the adl mag box to get it to fit. If not you will need a mag box and floor plate and stock

Best way to go is get BDL stock, throw the other stuff a way and get a HS precision DBM

These prices amaze me. I picked the exact same parts from a new rifle for $50 shipped and it's still sitting in the safe for when I buy an ADL model short action for the wife. I guess as long as people keep buying them, the prices are going to stay up there...

However, I would do what HorizonFirearms suggested.

I didn't even look at the price. Just linked to what he needed. I also got my parts for 50 bucks used when I converted an adl.

Search "Remington 700 bottom metal"...there are at least 7 for sale right now.

I've never seen them sell for $50...they are almost always $65-90.

It would be cheaper to buy an entirely new gun than the bottom metal and stock separately. Buy a SPS and sell your ADL.

Sorry wasnt more specific. Already have the bottom metal, was just curious about detachable mag.
