Definitely look at the disassembly on youtube. 22/45's are nice guns, I'd love to have one, but they look like a bit of a pain tear down and put back together.

My 22/45 lite, perfect for a suppressor, as it ads a little weight! Vq hammer and sear, tandem cross bushing to delete the magazine safety, tandem cross spring assist +1 magazine base, tandem cross loaded chamber indicator delete! She shoots great and has a great trigger. Aac element 2 suppressor.

Got them off eBay from a guy that hand makes them (username franketrozzo). If you look very closely in person you can see acceptable flaws that prove hand-made. The 1911 grips aren't a perfect fit. If you like custom grips on a 22/45RP, buy ones made for a Ruger. There are subtle differences. The 1911 grips have a couple cut outs that are not needed on a Ruger and look weird.

The first couple times maybe, gets easier. Removal of the mag safety makes it much simpler.
