I like my VLTOR IMOD stock, an EMOD is a little longer and wider. Not the cheapest stocks out there. Lots of people like the various Magpul stock (STR looks nice to me).

Another vote for the MagPul STR.

Magpul acs stock, and I like the burris pepr. I really like the acs stock, good cheek weld, its a little on the heavy side but balances out the gun a little better.

I'm assuming that this will be for a "long AR" setup. I'm not sure if you're looking for something like a more affordable Magpul PRS or what, but you may want to give some consideration to something like this: http://www.fulton-armory.com/buttplateassemblyadjustablelengthofpullcantanddrop.aspx on a plain-jane A2 stock with a cheek bag. My natural L.O.P. is a little on the long side for most of the big names and this is the only thing I've found that REALLY makes an AR-15 fit right for prone shooting.

I'll second the SWFA S.S.A.L.T. I'm not sure I'll ever put anything else on an AR for scope mounting. I haven't tried the inserts for 1" scopes so can't comment on how well that works.

I have the Magpul PRS, ACS, and STR. All have a good check weld on them. The PRS is expensive and HEAVY. I wouldn't recommend it for a rifle you are going to carry a lot in the field. The ACS and STR are both great and not too heavy.
A buddy has the GL-Shock from FAB-Defense and loves it. It has an adjustable cheek on it.

Oh yeah, the Burris mounts are great. I have one AR with a PEPR QD, another with XTR rings, and several bolt rifles with the XTR rings. Love them. Best bang for the buck.

I chose a Leupold mount. I don't know that it's any better than the Burris mount but I have faith in Leupold products. Anyway, I wanted to be able to remove the scope quickly and without tools to make use of my MI sights, so I found these UTG risers that operate in that manner. They are cheap, but I've had no trouble with them yet. The last step was to install Trijicon night sights in the MI sight bodies. I figure I'm set up for anything I might ever need to do with my AR.

Check out the Mako stock. I have an imod, but I like this Mako is even better.
