Gun Show @ Choctaw event center 2014

Just heard that the gun show in Durant, oklahoma at Choctaw casino event center is scheduled for the first part of Feb 2014. I'll update when i find out the exact dates and times i'll post it on here.
this is the 3rd year they will hold it. I have been to alot of shows over the years and this one is abig show, each year has grown even more. As far as size, its about as big as ft.worth shows. its a very impressive show, its not a little dinky thing. If someone knows more infro on it--spread the word.

I have always avoided the gun shows. Anyone I know says they are full of overpriced items. Think I may go check this one out though.

ya, it is not many tables compared to the dallas market hall show, it has not yet reach that level of show but its only the 3rd year and each year has continued to grow alot. Its not better then market hall or the widowmaker show in tulsa, it will be close to that at some point. In my opinion its just under the good show in ft.worth. As far as over all shows i would put it in the top 5 and it keeps growing. There is alot of small to medium shows around, this one blows all them away. It has not got the attention of all those big time dealers that charge a arm and leg because they think it is not much, they are gooing to wish they started getting tables here in the begining, its hard for any newbies to get tables but its possiable. Any show is better then sitting at home and not doing much.

If i understand it right, friday is set up day (and of course deals are being made) saturday 8-5, sunday 10-4. It is $ 8 bucks to get in, it use to be 5 or 6 the first year and 7 last year. i think tables last year were 25 or 30. They have a place to get food, or you can go across the street to the hotel/casino and eat at all the different resturants over there, they are pretty good. You can gamble and go to the bar/night club in the casino. @ gas stations right there. A burger king across the highway 75 or go north into durant for alot of other stuff. Just south there is a sports bar and in the next little town ( about 2 miles) is subway,sonic, taco casa & gas stations.

the show is in a seperate building from the casino, the building is on the north side of the casino and parking garage, it called the events center, it is where they hold all the concerts you here about, its pretty big area.

I'm thinking about going, 400 tables is the same size as Big Town, Rodeo is smaller, the Premier Ft Worth show is over 1000 tables.
The website says load in is Thurs, the show is "open" Fri. afternoon, Sat, and Sunday. BUT i'm already doing 2 shows in Feb. Both in Mesquite, so I will only have to drive 5 miles to the farthest one.
FYI Market Hall is 2000 + tables.
But with ALL that said, still thinking it maybe fun to get out of D/FW!

did not realize the ft worth show was 1000 tables and market hall was 2000. it sounds like they have opened it up for an extra day. it used to be like the rest, load/unload friday and show was sat & sun, but if they are unloading on thursday and haveing show friday, sat & sun thats great. But for the cost of tables compared to the other shows its hard to beat unless they went up on them this year have not heard what they are going for this year.
i think if you purchase a pistol from a individual it would be fine. not real sure but if you have a ccl and not a resident it can still been done. if your a ffl i dont see a problem, but i am not sure of how the laws are specificly laid out. either way it should be a fun time
they will probally have more then 400 tables, imo, the building has alot of room inside, good luck to everyone that goes

I don't know the laws on firearms, we only sell accessories at the shows.

vendor setup: thursday feb 6th > 8am-8pm february 2014 6th-9th

show hours: Friday 7th > 2pm - 7pm
Saturday 8th > 8am - 5pm
Sunday 9th > 10am - 4pm

entry: $8 per day, under 12 free with adult

tables: $25 per table
+ $10 for electric connections
