savage axis

i was reading the info about the axis below. i was wondering if you can use the action on the axis and rebarrel it from a lft handed 30-06 to a 240 weatherby. the action is a lot cheaper but is it strong enough.
i've been looking for a 240 weatherby in left handed without paying an arm and a leg.

The Axis has a strong, stiff action. It has a milled ejection slot instead of an open-top receiver like the Savage 1X/11X-series.

Doing a quick check, it seems the maximum pressure for the .240 Weatherby Magnum is 65K. That's also the same as for a .270, which I believe the Axis is available in. I don't think you'll have any issues.
