These are my 5.7s. They are fun guns to shoot and accurate.
This is my 5.7 with the pistols I generally carry when hunting hogs.
Again, the 5.7 is a very large pistol. It holds 20 Rounds of ammo.
I have shoot 3 hogs with the 40 grain American Eagle round out of the 5.7. I did not think the results were great. All the hogs died but required tracking and follow up. The 5.7 is also an extremely loud gun.
I have killed hogs with my 17 HMR also, but that does not make it a hog gun.
I personally think the 5.7 is awkward to carry because of its size, loud and, is not a good choice for an all around lease gun.
It is a fun range gun and I do not plan on getting rid of mine but, it is not my 1st, 2nd or, 5th choice to take to the lease.
