What's your truck gun/rifle?

Hello all, just thought it would be cool to see what you guys carry in your truck as your go to truck gun? As for mine it's either a marlin 1894 in 44mag or a marlin 30-30, I like the handiness and function of Lever action rifles, I'm just a fan of Lever actions in general. I most always carry either one with me when going to the lease/ranch.... So what's your truck gun?

I don't have any lever actions. You can bet there's always a Glock in the arm rest tho. Always.

No rifle in the truck, and it's ticking me off! I know what I want to put together, it's surfaced a few times, and a seller backed out, and two couldn't get with me on price. Patience is a virtue.

I don't drive a truck, but here is my trunk gun.


It has sights and a red dot now.
I bought a cheap .30-30, but the length was an issue. Thought about getting a mare's leg.

I have two-both cheapo Savages. One in .17 HMR and one in .308.

Mine is a single shot Wichita bolt action pistol in 7mm IHMSA topped with a 2.5-8 Leupold scope.

Driving on the lease in my hunting truck there is always a Wilson Combat 6.8 with an Aimpoiint T1 on it ready to go.

truck gun is a smith and Wesson 9mm

lots of stuff gets shot with that.

Every day when I am working on the ranch, my DDm4 is in the passenger seat. I usually also carry my High Standard .22 when I'm working. Lots of snakes have been shot this summer.

In town, Glock .45. On the ranch Larue PredatAR 5.56 w/ a 1-4 Pride & Fowler.

no land for now so much truck gun is just a 1911, sometimes a sd subcompact

Hoping in the next year or two to get some land or a lease and have a 6.8 I'm building for a truck gun for that

S&W 460 XVR with a Burris FF3.

S&W model 411. .40 11+1. Always rides in the console loaded with Winchester Pdx defenders.

M1 Garand. Might be a field or rack grade (it's a frankenGarand I picked up on this board actually)

It busts/vaporizes oranges and cantelopes at 100 yards ... good enough.

G23 in console, Mossberg 80b .243 under back seat, Spikes ST-15 sitting in its bag in the back seat.

My 6x45 (6mm-223) usually get the nod. I love that thing!!!

Mini 14. I need the extra firepower for dumped city dogs messing with my goats.

.410 single shot w/ a shell carrier full of slugs, and what ever pistol I have on me. only reason I carry that is if someone breaks in the truck they don't get any worth stealing...

Alot to be said for something serviceable and inexpensive.

When I'm running the lease I always have my Win 94 trapper 44mag and my 6.8. The AR rides in the seat and trapper on the dash.....until I get me a floor mounted rack

Don't keep a gun in my truck but I do have a Marlin .22mag in my Ranger 365 days a year, about 8 months out of the year I will have Remington .223 with it.

CZ 527 carbine in 7.62x39 with a Nikon 2-7.

For me it's a ruger gp100 with 6in barrel loaded with hot 158's and an either an old German mauser 98 or an enfield mk4 no. 1

I'm in the process of building one of these now in .300blackout. For just this use. Tired of yotes and pigs getting gone before I can get the gun out the window.

I enjoyed building mine. Made me want to build more.

Getting some parts has been a little interesting but it's going to work out.

Glock 27 is in the console 24/7.

Which truck?

Lost a nice 10/22 one time because I left it in the truck, so I don't do that anymore. If I have a rifle with me it's either a Marlin 25 or my AR.

Savage Hog Hunter 308. Short barrel makes it easy to get in and out the window, light and easy to carry when walking, iron sights, and plenty of pop for deer,hogs, yotes or whatever needs to die!

Model 94 30-30. It has wear marks on it from how many miles it has sat wedged between the passenger seat and the console. Its beat up and ugly as all get out but it always goes bang and it will kill anything I run across if I do my part.

I am thinking of getting a truck gun made "customized" for myself, I like my marlin 30-30, and 44mag but I would really like to get a lever action custom built as my designated truck/brush gun. I am thinking of getting one at a pawn shop that maybe needs a little work have a gunsmith cut the barrel down to a trapper length barrel which Is somewhere around 16". Have the stock redone or even having the stock applied with a black bed liner type coating, I would also like to either have the barrel re blued or having it done also in a cerakote in either on OD green or a burnt bronze. I have seen some done grizzly customs guns or wild west guns, I would really like to have a gun sent to them to get worked on for me but I don't think I have the cash to send them into a place like that just yet, but maybe I can find a good local gunsmith that can do the basics for a reasonable price. I know the above mentioned is not for everyone and many people would frown upon doing that to a levergun but that would be my Ideal truck. Thanks for reading and for sharing what your truck gun is. Marlin 336W 30-30....... It is A real Marlin..... Before the freedom group bought them out. She is a beauty I must say. Wish she was a little smaller though, I have a single cab Toyota Tacoma and it is a tight squeeze.
