Little Help Remington 700 .300 Win Mag

Shells wont eject, just bought this gun. Loaded the gun the bolt feels fine close's fine and opens as well. It will catch the shell 1 out of 6 times and eject it.

I can raise the gun up and the shell will fall out so its not getting stuck.

Sounds like a bad extractor.

Will Remington replace that?

Is the gun new? If so, the extractor may just have factory gunk that can be sprayed out with gun scrubber or something similar. If that doesn't fix it, it should be covered under warranty.

Defintely check the ejector pin on the bolt... mine did the same thing.... I pulled the bolt, cleaned the face, then oiled it and had to use a pen to push the ejector pin up and down. It takes more force than you think to push it down. Works as it should until next time it gets a little build up...

Took the gun back to the big box store and exchanged it. Turns out something in the barrel broke the ejector. They tried to put another bolt in it, broke that ejector as well. Good thing I did not fire it. They would have not exchanged it either if it had been fired.
