Leoupold VX 2 versus Vari X II

Leoupold VX 2 versus Vari X II - 05/08/12 05:56 PM

I noticed in the last BPS flyer that they had a VX 2 and they call it new. Any opinions versus the old? Is this just a sales gimmick or are there any differences? Price is the same as Academy's regular price for a Vari X II.

I thought the vari x 2 was no longer made.

Leupold has made several changes through out the years on these.

This is a list of the VX line and the changes.

I can't vouch for the two series but I can tell you the new 3 is much better than the old ones.

I've had the varix III and the vxIII with not much difference but the vx3 is damn good. It will probably be my last scope. I have the 2.5-8x and both the picture quality and low light view is spot on.

I have a 243 LSS Rem model seven that I use on critters to elk with one shot drops using XP3 ammo and looking through the new Leupolds is a pleasure.
