.22 Mag / .22 LR Convertible Revolvers- Accuracy?

Speaking specifically of a 4 3/4" Single Six, does anyone have any epxerience with one?

In general, what is your favorite .22 LR revolver for field carry? I like having a .22 for squirrels, and it's the best "learner" gun. I've been meaning to get one for a while, and I want a mid length barrel (6" or shorter) and adjustable sights are a must.

You got 22LR and 22 Mag ammo?

I'll bring my 6.5 Ruger Super Single Six and both cylinters.

They are actually more accurate w/the 22mag.

I had an old single six "3 screw" that I put thousands of rounds through without a hiccup but the old ones didn't have adjustable sights. Had a fiend that had a fancy colt 22 but it had some problems and was not as reliable as the Ruger. I would say its the best 22 revolver on the market but I would not hunt squirrels with one if I was making a squirrel mulligan. It would be all vegtables with no meat I'm afraid. I like the 5.5 inch barrel.

Usually in the convertables the 22mag is a little more accurate is what I have read and held true on the one I had.

Favorite walking around 22 for me is an old model Ruger Bearcat. For hunting my SIG Hammerilli gets the nod.
