no, i have not used any of them, but i hear they are good. Uberti makes some of them for cimmaron, and some other italian companies make the others. i know nothing of them. Hey, dont get me wrong on the uberti's though. I really like mine and it has taken probably 5000 rounds or more through it and is still working really well. I only had to replace the sear and bolt spring, trigger, and hand after alot of use. Since i have never used the cimmaron, I cant really comment on their quality. This is just what i have read and been told. If i bought a cimmaron, i would probably replace the spring with a colt brand spring as well right off the bat.
All in all, Cimmaron and Uberti are both going to be much better than the originals were back in the day. Originals colts were notorious for worn parts and needing to be repaired as well. The modern steels are much stronger..the bluing is much more durable, and parts are more readily available.
You might check into how easy it is to obtain parts for the cimmarons. If you shoot it enough..it will need to be repaired eventually. Its a single action design thats almost 150 years old. They were not perfect. Uberti parts are easy to come by. Brownells.com has them available at
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/schematics/ When i was looking to replace some of those parts in my uberti, i called cimmaron and the tech told me that some cimmaron parts will not work in uberti guns and vice versa...So there is some difference in the design of the guns i guess that would not allow the parts to be interchangeable. You might call cimmaron and ask them how easy it is to get ahold of parts such as springs, screws, bolts, cylinder hands..etc..because those are the most likely parts that will wear out.
this is a great book for doing it yourself repair of these guns.
