Spent some time today looking through some binos for this years season. I have it narrowed down to the vortex razor hd and the Leica trinovid.
My thoughts on the two
Vortex has Awesome customer service and really supports the shooting community. Binos a little lighter Good field of view Nice clear glass
Leica I think they had a little bit better glass. Clearer at the edges Like the adjustments a little better Also good glass an field of view.
Both of them are the ten power, and the price between the two is not a concern. Just can't decided which one is better.
Anyone have field time with either? I looked at them in Cabelas and we took them outside to look. Just not sure how either would do in low light.
Thanks Walter

When you use your binoculars a lot, clearer on the edges, means easier on the eyes.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I would strongly recommend checking out the Meopta 10-42 HDs

All three mentioned are great glass. Meopta are probably the heaviest but them and vortex will have the best warranty assuming you get the cabelas meoptas.

If you can afford the Leica binocs, that's what you should buy. No question in my mind at all.

I just sold 2 pair of Leupolds to buy the new bushnell fusion 1 miles. I shoot a lot of long range and I love these! they have a built in one mile range finder that is FAST! and the binos are better than I could have expected from bushnell. Worth looking at if you need a range finder too. But they are about $1300

Worth looking at if you need a range finder too. But they are about $1300 Thanks I have looked at them but I already have a decent range finder. And the size of the fusions is on the bigger side of what I am looking for. Price is not really too much of a concern as I want to buy a good pair that will last a long time. Out of all the ones that I have looked at the two I have listed have been my favorites. Walter

Leica. Lifetime warranty and they back it up. Is their customer service as good as Vortex, they have IMHO the best in the industry. This is why I am having trouble deciding I could go back and forth all day between the two. I have changed my mind a million times already. At the moment seem to be leaning in favor of the Leica for the sheer fact that they were easier to adjust to my eyes. Thanks Walter

Without seeing and handling it is hard to say. Last year I compared Swaro vs vortex hs I thug ink they were. $2000 vs $650. In the daylight I did not see the price difference being worth it. I'm sure the razor glass is even better. Without looking its a tough answer. I like the lighter weight factor

Thanks Walter Personally id buy the razors hd then with left over money I'd buy the razor hd 11x33 x 50 spotter

You need to go somewhere you can test back to back as light fades. That is when the difference stands out.
Inside a Cabelas is a waste of your time.
I stand by my recommendation to check out the Meopta 10x42HDs Test them side by side with ones costing twice as much.
Let your eyes be the judge and pick which ever one suits your best.

At cabelas we took them outside and looked at various things from 10 yards out to a long ways away. I also looked at the swaros but to me they were no better than the Leica's.

Leica. I love my old BN's. I would however like the new Swaros with the light body. My old Leicas are super heavy.

I'm in CO right now and been glassing with vortex viper HD, Razors(non HD), swaro sc, lecia Geo. Since sat.
This is how I rank their glass.
Geo's Razor/swaro Viper HD.
Noticable difference In geo's and and viper HD, older vortex razors and swaro's are neck and neck, with Geo's a very small touch better.
I'm betting razor HD is pair with geo's.
But been carring the viper HD's because small and light
