My nephew and I got picked on a Standby Hunt in Gus Engeling Buck hunt this year! We both killed nice bucks, his was a very nice trophy! It was his first big buck! What a great hunt. 6 deer total The facility and personnel are both first class, treat yourself and take a hunt at the Gus Engeling if you can. JV's11 point    My 8 point  Getting Ready to go home

I believe your nephew stole the show congrats on a great hunt Yes he did, I think it went 153+ on the Non Typical side of things. He had never killed a large buck befor this and he was sooo excited. We had a great time. We are getting both heads moubted and they will remain a pair to remember our great Gus Engeling hunt!

What gun were u using in pic? It is a 12 x 12 x 30-06 Kreighoff Drilling. I used it as a single shot rifle as buckshot are not allowed.

Great Hunt! I was drawn to bow hunt there a couple of years ago, what a great place to go on a draw hunt with a rifle. I will be putting in for this hunt again next year. Located just East of Richland Chambers WMA if my memory serves me right, not to far from Corsicana.
