That's crazy... I wonder when his neck gets bigger if that barbed wire is tight enough to cause damage? Hopefully not, but I've seen weaker material do alot of damage.. Hope it comes off of him.. Z

I don't see it being a problem this year, but when he's 5+ and rutted up it won't be good.

Not gonna end well for him. He has a miserable demise in front of him.

seems like the same thing was posted last year, but I don't remember...

I do, however, remember seeing a grenade pin-ring on a doe's hoof last year. Harvested at some military grounds

Somebody's pet. I raised a buck one time and he had a collar so everyone knew around me not to shoot "Bucky" Had a lucky 13 in his ear too!

I give that buck props, looks cooler than a barbed wire tattoo.

X2. However, I'm not sure what is more interesting; the deer's necklace or that feeder setup!

Not good. Probably best if he catches a bullet this season.

Props on the worlds shortest feeder!

I was in California last month hunting tule elk when we spotted a large herd of maybe 80 animals. There were 2 mature bulls in the group, a 6x6 and a 6x7, as well as the usual complement of spikes, raghorns, and pretenders. Interestingly, both big bulls had large wads of barb wire around their antlers, and one even had a bit of wire that wrapped around his neck. Apparently it didn't bother them at all, because both of them were bugling their heads off and running around and generally harassing the rest of the herd, all this despite a mid-afternoon temperature that was hovering around 100 degrees.

I filled the feeder that morning. That corn was from a wet sack that tore when it was picked up.
