This is a buck from last year that I passed on twice. I wanted to see if he could get bigger. It is hard to tell, but he has palmation on both sides of his antlers. I also passed on the tall 8 point you will see on a couple of the pics. I may try to take both this year.

He looks to be mid to upper 60's. I included the extra for the broken brow. Looks to be 3.5 or maybe 4.5.

I tried to score it as conservately as possible and came up with:

This equals 148.
I am hoping he is still there this year and has his full brow tines. With full tines and a little more mass/trash and he will be easy 160's and maybe pushing the 170's this year. Can't wait to see if he is on camera this year.

He may not be there this year, it is not in CRP this year. It has planted crops and will be planted in wheat later.

stxranchman, in SE Ks, the normal 3.5 will weigh 180 field dressed and the 4.5 will weigh about 200 field dressed. On our place in NE Ks, you need to add about 10 to 15 pounds to each above.

Stxranchman, those are for the better genetic bucks that we usually take. There are always smaller deer that we don't mess with. THe average is probably 10lbs what i quoted above and the nicer ones (180 class) might be 10lbs heavier.
