19 at one time, a new record. This is the most we could get in one photo.

If I were in the stand that big ole buck would get checked out through the scope. He looks like a big bodied deer! Very nice!

Oh yah! And he's no young'un! Nice, fat, pot belly on him. Deer look healthy!

If I had that many deer standin in front of me once a day, even if I only popped one of them on that place, that would be a great season. Deer aren't that plentiful here, but I'm happy every time I go to the stand and see'em. Can't tell you how many times in my 46 years of hunting I have sat in a stand and seen NOTHING! Sometimes my Dad and Grandpa just got leases that just didn't have deer on them. LOL It was really more camping that huntin, but still great memories. Never forget when we started getting leases in Palo Pinto and would see deer come by in herds of may be 20 - 30 at times. That was amazing to me. Mostly doe, and I've never killed any HUGE buck, but I DO love seeing deer while sitting on the stand. That always makes a good hunt to me. I always get my limit, and always enjoy the hunt and the campin and the cookin, and a little nip, and spending every moment I can with my now 83 year old dad, and my kids of course. That's what it's all about, FOR ME.

Looks like you have a great place!

JJ

Thanks for the kind words.

It amazes me what spilling a little water can do. The deer get little fern plants that pop up. We feed year round but the last couple months so many new deer have came in we have been overwhelmed. We do what we can but some good rain is needed.

I might have spilled a can of protien out there.lol

Let's trap some and bring them up north.
