Looking to buy land in either Fayette,Brazos,Trinity,or Madison county for hunting and recreational for me and my family. I have never hunted in these areas before I'm looking to buy between 20-30 acres and I dont know if thats enough land or is hunting good around these areas. Any comments or information would help thank you .

I live in fayette co. and land iis very high this is because all the real estate companies have priced most people out of buying land here,You need deep pockets. Most land starts around 5k per acres.Good luck. dlineman1

I hunted in Brazos county for several years near Kurten and the hunting was great. The place I hunted was just 100 acres and 75% of it was pasture land with the other 25% being thick oaks and cedars. It was not uncommon to see 20-30 deer in a 2 hour hunt in the morning. I think that place is about to be listed for sale but it has a house on it so it may be out of your price range.
