One of our members was transfered to Las Vegas. He may let you take up his lease for this year that he has already paid, but I am primarily posting for next year. Looking for one hunter, maybe a father & son if they understand one of them may not get to hunt on a food plot. Camp site with water and electric. 100 acres of winter grass planted by the owner. 1/2 mile of Colorado River frontage. Approx 400 acres with 3 hunters already on it. Big deer and strict rules on size of bucks taken. $2250.00 for one gun. Will divide lease by 5 if a father and son take it.

Change of plans. I spoke with the landowner and the member that moved to Las Vegas. We can do 5 spots on this lease for this year. Need two more at $1700.00 per gun...or one at $2150.00. This is an awesome place. Deep creek bottoms, river, planted fields and a ton of deer. Also the spot you will inherit from the member that moved to Las Vegas has been protein fed all year. Right on the Colorado river. Big bucks. Shoot me a message and I will meet you out there. You will not find a nicer place.

Can my wife hunt off my allotment? Do all members have access to the entire lease or just a specific parcel.

Lease member is the only person allowed to leave the camp with a firearm...except in extended doe/spike season when we participate in the wounded warrior hunt. To be honest we prefer no wifes...the main reason we go is to get away from wifes. Everyone has their own stand...we do not hunt others stands. Thanks

This is a good area. If I didn't have a lease, I would seriously consider this one.

Sorry that you feel you have to "get away" from you wives. My wife and I enjoy the adventures of hunting together, very rewarding. You are right, this lease would not be a good fit for us.

I understand completely. I don't go to "get away from my wife" but having them around camp, while not offensive to me, is inconvenient at times. I've had one walk by while I was visiting behind a tree. One got mad because I farted around the campfire. I don't go to drink and act a fool but it was uncomfortable at times. I think you need to pick your lease to fit your needs. If this one doesn't then move on. It's their lease and rules and tdb if you or I don't like it.

I am not trying to offend you or your wife. I just want to be upfront about the way the guys on our lease think. We work hard all year to be able to have a nice lease and when we go we prefer the atmosphere better when our wifes are not there. I'm not saying we have bad marriages, but this is the time of year we like to get away.

Find me cheaper lease on the colorado river with an owner that plants thousands of dollars in grain fields and I will move. This lease is 5 guns at 1700 per gun. We prefer to have only four hunters and pay the difference, but was offered on here at $1700.00 per gun. From what I have seen this is a very good price for what we have. Why would you even post this tailchaser? I can assure you three guys from Mexia Texas are not city slickers.

Heck I pay 2160 with 12 guys for 2000 acres just a few miles south of him and we don't get squat from our landowner. If it wasn't for his dip of a lease manager, I would never have an issue with the place.

Agreed people who say they need to get away from their wives, either don't deserve the wife they have or need to find a new one. I have spent 42 years of my life on family leases in the hill country and could not imagine not takin my wife or kids. No wonder hunting is on the decline.

To each his own.... my wife has gone to the lease before, but I wouldn't call it her cup of tea. There's times I would like her to go and times I would like to be alone..... get away from everything and unwind and revive, does that mean I don't deserve her? I think not. I would think hunting is on the decline because less young adults are getting into hunting and spending their time on a computer or game system

My wife and I have things we do together and we do separate. Hunting isn't one we do together and that doesn't hurt my feelings at all. I wouldn't deny her the opportunity to go if she wanted to but I'm not staying home because she doesn't hunt.

Glad you got it leased. Looked like a good deal to me. If I didn't have two already I would have jumped on it.
