Just came back from Cheaper than Dirt and the prices are really high on the ammo. I bought a box of 20 rounds for 2.99 a year ago and now the same box is 12 dollars. Is buying ammo online a good idea?

Wal-Mart, Academy, Cabelas (during sales). Everyone else is out to stick it to ya! IMHO

Really, I also got a box of 38 special ammo, 50 rounds. Regular cheap target pratice load. No hollow point or fmj just regular plain lead ball shot, 30 dollars....

Right now, if you go to Remington's website they have a coupon that you can mail in for a $2 per box rebate on STS and Nitro shells. Max of $100 back, that is 5 cases.

Dicks Sporting Goods is offering $1 per box mail in rebate max of $100 on their gun club shells. Shells are $5.89 per box if bought in full case quantities, plus a $1 mail in rebate puts them at under $5 per box.

Winchester is offering $100 mail in rebate on all AA shells as well.

Also forgot to mention, I was reading the info on the back of the Gun Club box, they boast that Gun Clubs are reloadable. I shot about 300 this weekend, am going to try and reload them and see how they go. But either way, that is a great buy.
