Guy I work with just offered me this gun for $50. Says it's in pretty good shape. I don't need it, but sounded like a good deal. Anybody give me any input?

Thanks in advance,
Murph

Knight made a good weapon. They are going or have already gone out of business and made some very fine, accurate rifles.

If you're interested in muzzle loading, grab it!

Jdicky, You know more about inlines than I do. Does the Wolverine require that plastic disk that holds the primer? Can the rifle be fired without the disk?

Being a traditional muzzleloader shooter I don't care for the inlines. However, if it takes an inline to get another person into muzzleloading, more power to them. laugh Like the preacher says, you have to get them in the church before you can convert 'em. smile

If memory serves me right....I believe the Wolverine uses percussion caps, and although it will shoot 150 grains of powder, it works best with 100 grains of powder!

I believe the Wolverine uses #209 shotgun primers. My concern was the plastice disk that some of the Whites used to hold the primer. I think some of them came with 5 red plastic disk. I don't know if the disk had to be used or if the rifle could be fired without the use of the disk.

I hunt with a TC Black Diamond Express. You don't have to convert me, LOL.

I just thought this might be one of those deals you couldn't pass up.

I use the Traditions .45 cal. in-line with a 2 inch muzzle break,28 inch barrel with a 1:20 twist. With a 150 grain magnum powder load and a copper hollow point .40 cal sabot, i am getting just about 2700 fps. made a 225 yd. shot with it last year with the tru glo sights. One of the finest weapons I have ever owned.
