I had a dream the other nite that someone had broke in the house and had my wife and had a gun pointed at her head. I told him that he had picked the wrong house and some how had my gun in my hand only to fire and hit him in between the eye brows. He fell and I woke up before he hit the ground. I told my wife that I was really disappointed I woke up because I just knew there was going to be some thankful sexual favors next I swear I said that to her and it was the dream. Only thing I can figure is I had bought a new gun and was itching to shoot it? It is weird how dreams and our subconscious are linked.

I used to have those dreams where the bullet just falls out of the barrel. I can assure you that it has nothing to do with frustration, limpus donkus, inability to pull the trigger, or anything else. It's just a stupid dream. When you are in the s---, you will respond as you were trained. There won't be time to moralize, or anything else. You will mechanically do as you were taught.

I have had similar dreams, but normally I have to pull extremely hard to fire the weapon, and then the ammunition never seems very powerful. It's either that or I will be fighting for my life with someone I don't know, then after I shoot them it turns out to be a really good friend or family member. I even had a dream a while back where I shot my dog. How messed up is that? I like my dog!

I suspect the dreams come from a subconcious fear of a worst case scenario. If you are in law enforcement probably the worst thing (on several levels) that can happen is to have to shoot your weapon. The next worst thing would be to be in that position and the darn thing don't work.
Same with me worrying about getting ambushed and taken out without being able to fight back, except that was a concious thought that kept me on my toes when I was on the river.

i have very similar dreams as well, except the bullets always hit the target and then fall harmlessly to the ground. i know it's not a worry about the gun, as i have killed more skunks with my nightstand gun than i can count. weird that everyone has that kind of dream.

Do you think the liberals have dreams that when we protect them with our guns that our guns won't work?

No, I figure they have dreams where they are in trouble and their hugs and kind words won't work. They just slither out of their mouths and flop on the floor like so much cow crap...

i have had many dreams about this subject. sometimes i am in a gunfight and i pull and pull on the trigger and it will not fire. sometimes it fires and the bullet just drops out of the end of the barrel and falls on the ground. sometimes i grab my gun pull the slide back to chamber a round and the gun dis-assembles in my hand. i have also had the dreams of fighting some one and you punch your hardest and it does not faze them,or feels like you are punching thru them and nothing happens. those dreams suck!
