Went out to the ranch and couldn't do much since it was raining, decided to try and link up another camera on a protein feeder I moved, little over 3 miles from the ranch house and I got a signal! We set this feeder up a few weeks ago, only protein feeder in this pasture, 3 sections, really excited to see what comes in. As you can tell my camera/antenna mount was "engineered" with anything I could find, old sattelite tripod and feeder legs!

After I was done I climbed over the tank dam to check if anything was in the tank bed, saw some buzzards and found this...

Had pictures of him last year, he was a ten point with poor g4s, probably wouldn't have been a "trophy" but would have been a good buck.

Pee-yew, that thing stinks! I can smell it from here, lol. That's cool that you link up 3 miles away, but too bad about the buck.

He was to far gone to tell, could have been a number of things, lots of coyotes in that pasture but he was only 4.5 so I doubt they did anything. Didn't check his legs for breaks, like d.g. said he was pretty ripe....I think I can still "taste" it barf

That's a bad deal. Hope you don't have a poaching issue.

Yea he had good mass, would have been a good buck in a few more years.

Doubtful if it was poaching, he was 3.5 miles from the closest public road.

We find several bucks dead every year, it's just part of it, always sucks to find 'em though
