Well, as some of ya'll may or may not know, Cable and Moose came down to Tuscola for a dove hunt this past weekend. From the time they got to my house, until the time they left we got three inches of rain!! We tried to get some hunting in but the gods just didnt want it to happen!! We did get out on Saturday and drive Codys place and watch the city boys shoot at birds. After that we did some hunting in the pouring rain (they did I sat in the Ranger) they shot 18 or so. But we had good times and those two guys are class acts!! My wife told me that they could come back anytime!! I think that we will get a west Texas duck hunt (tank jumping) and a west Texas deer hunt (drive around till you find one) in this winter. Thanks guys for a fun weekend and next time dont bring us so much rain!! Hey Jasb, didnt know u were in Tuscola! Born n raised in Coleman, TX here! Good to hear ya'll got all that rain. Ya'll were doin worse than we were here in Temple/Belton area.

It hasnt been too bad here, we had rain on and off all summer. I was happy to see the rain, but I sure hated it for Moose and Cable. We did get into some birds but got wet at the same time!! I took 2 hours to clean my Ranger!! The same Ranger that you broke Moose!!JK

Belton lake got 9-10 ft low here! I remember growin up around there, when it didnt rain, EVERYTHING dried up! Still miss home though. No stupid city folk!!

I think this was the wettest weekend we have had all year.

Had a ball. Can't wait to do it again. I know one thing for sure...the four of us will never have our own hunting show unless it's on HBO. The humor and verbage used is simply not condusive to Network tv. I'll get the video edited and up this week.

Jason, Did cable tell you about my wife trying to kill him? He asked for Weller, on the rocks. She brought him a friggin' schooner of whiskey full to the top! It was hillarious! I'm telling you it was 32 ounces of whiskey!

Ok, here it is....

These guys are as cool as the other side of the pillow. It was a complete gully washer the entire time. It literally was raining when we left Dallas on Friday, rained the entire time in Tuscola, and was raining when we pulled back up in my driveway.

But you know what, I don't care. I made a new friend in Jason and solidified my friendship with Cody.

I can't thank you guys enough for having us out and I can't wait to get yall down to my place for a trophy wood duck. We're gonna tank bust the crap outta them.

Another thing, if anyone and I mean anyone, thinks it would be funny to get drunk and try out your best fighting moves, don't try it on Jasb.

I go, "What if I do this...." Next thing I know I'm twisted up in a ball and he's choking me out with my own arm.

Also got to ride around in the limo on Cody's place and check out some really cool geology. They have a mountain top that is covered with coral and oyster shells. It is really cool and has an awesome view.

I really respect and admire the fact that these fellas are family people. We partied all weekend with the BIL's and FIL's, they are all cool and all Texas Tech, which is perfect with me.

Jason, please thank Mendy again for letting us stay. I've been telling my wife all about it ever since yesterday, I think she would really like to hang with the Tuscola girls one of these days.

Again, thank you so much.

My biggest problem now is trying to find something to reciprocate with that's halfway as cool as what they've got going on.
