When I first heard the words "cabbage pie" I thought, no way. But I decided to give it a try as I had some cabbage left over from St. Patrick's Day. It's pretty darned good, with an unusual flavor profile! I will make these changes for the next one: I will reduce the dill by about half. I will add in probably a quarter cup of chopped Hatch green chiles. I will crumble five or six pieces of crisp bacon into the mixture.

An interesting fact - I love cabbage in any and every form and dish. I cannot stand Brussel sprouts, and even the mention of them upsets my stomach. The only food I have found in the entire world that I will not eat!!!

Beer and whiskey, 'cause you can't drink bacon!!
