It seems most of the Rangers injury timelines are way short of reality. Nathaniel Lowe was expected to be back by now, but obviously he's not. I read from a guy on X named Stefan Stevenson that "he's now taking grounders at 1B. He said he's been hitting off tee and soft toss and hopes to start taking real swings soon." So that tells me he's probably another 2 weeks out. The intial projection was 3-4 weeks, but it will more likely be 6.

Same for the DeGrom, Scherzer, Jung, Seager, etc injuries last year. All of the initial estimates were understated if I recall. Hell, they thought DeGrom would be back by the end of June last year before shutting him down Tommy John.

Wow! That's stinks. I hadn't heard that revised timeline. That's looking at mid-June.

Sure do like Dave Robertson in the pen, for a mid 30s dude that has been very good most of his career, he can still bring it, 95-96mph and just knows how to spin it. I forsee him as the closer instead of setup guy that he is now, especially if Leclerc keeps struggling.

Le Clerc is a bigger issue than injuries.

Pass the gravy.

Looks like LeClerc is working himself into a 6th/7th inning guy. With Yates/Robertson/Sborz following him. I get it’s three games, but it looks a lot like the beginning of last season. His velocity is better, but the ability to find his location is not.

Texan born, Nathan Eovaldi of Houston has clearly established himself as thevRanger's #1, hopefully Okie born, Jon Gray can turn his fortunes around and secure #2, has too good of stuff to be struggling around like he can....Go Rangers....

Exactly. Wild misses and cookies, the only things he has right now.

I think until we get some guys back Gray is the key, he can look like an Ace and the next day look like a barely serviceable A pitcher. He has to be consistent all year until some guys get back. Heaney, Bradford, and Dunning looked good. Heaney is going to give you 4 solid innings but he seems to take a lot of pitches to get there. I kinda like him as a long reliever more than a starter.

Very nice. And did you notice that Bochy pulled Garcia and Semien as soon as score got out of hand so the Astros relievers couldn’t use them for target practice. 👍

Bradshaw was incredible. Altuve lead off the game with a single and that was it until the 8th inning until he gave up another single. And the offense crushed out 16 hits. Great win.

Rangers up 7-2 in bottom of 8th, 4 in for frame. Stros look like an old team with little hitting outside of Altuve, Tucker and Alaraez....

The season is still young, but before we get too far down this rabbit hole, there will be NO petty trolling in either of the Astros' or Rangers' threads. Wanna be a petty troll, start your own thread. These threads are for the discussion of the merits of each team's 2024 season, by anyone. I've posted the same in the Astros thread. Thanks, folks, and enjoy the season. up
