Last week the wife bought a juicer. No idea why, but I'm giving it a try. Not getting any younger and the bones and joints are hurting, so let’s see if adding some fruit & vegetable juice will help.

Share some recipes if you juice. And do y’all use this as a meal replacement?

It sounds great in theory, and it is great. But it's not sustainable. Nobody that I know who purchased a juicer actually sticks with it for very long. It's messy and time consuming. It ends up in the back of the cabinets next to the bread machine, ice cream maker, and pasta maker.

Juice is good but it's not going to make you grow cartilage.

I feel ya on the bread maker, we were gifted one 2 years ago and never opened it, a loaf of bread will mold before we ever open it.

We have a juicer. The wife said all these wonderful things about it and got started. Took about a zillion carrots to make enough juice to drink. It’s now sitting next to the bread maker, in a closet somewhere. I’ll make you deal on both of them.

I think it’s great for people that are naturally very thin. Guys like me eat fruit in part because it has a higher satiety. Juicing eliminates that, it turns your fruit into a sugary drink.

OTC cheap glucosamine with chondroitin fixed my knees in about 9 months. They were bone on bone.

I tried that for a long time, no results for me.

The results from Frog Fuel was evident within weeks with proper hydration.

Frog fuel? Where do I get it? Arthritis in thumbs, back, legs and feet have recently hit me. If I bend forward from the waist, pain hits my back.

I’m pretty narrow minded about pain meds or narcotics of any kind. I have to be careful about anything addictive. My younger brother and sister did all kinds of feel good dope and I’ve outlived both of them. I’m 81. I once took a drag off a MJ weed and told myself that I didn’t need to add anything to cigarettes and a lot of beer. My addictive personality is something I have to keep aware of. It took me over 50 years to get off tobacco.

But, I need some relief from pain that 6 extra strength Tylenols daily don’t help.

Saw the poster saw the thread name, really thought this was going a different direction.

HGH

Don’t juice but we do fast 7pm Sundays to 7am Tuesday morning. Also intermittent fast the rest of the week skip one meal either breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Fasting is useless for me. I do intermittent fasting all the time, usually unexpectedly but it’s not uncommon to go 36 hours without eating and only consuming water & coffee.

Lots of coffee... lol I have never done juice. Lauren did a little when she was pregnant and it worked for her keeping the blood sugar down.

Why mess with it? Just eat the vegetables and fruit.

Variety confused2

So far my favorite juice mix is 1 Apple, 3 carrots, 1 orange, 1/2 grapefruit.

I don’t like eating oranges or grapefruit, but love them as drinks. I also only drink water and coffee throughout the day, no sodas or teas, and maybe the weekly lemonade if we eat at ChikFilA. So having something tasty that I know isn’t loaded with caffeine preservatives and other chemicals is a nice change

That part caught me off guard. I’ve always had low blood sugar issues, I didn’t realize it was going to tank my blood sugar like it did. Hot flashes and chills, along with tunnel vision happened about an hour after drinking some juice last week.

Do some research, juicing isn't as good for you as they say.

Frog Fuel is largely designed for muscles. It's protein based. Glucosamine with chondroitin is the only thing ever proven to grow cartilage in an adult. My orthopedic surgeon told me to take it.

Its pretty controversial in its actual abilities…….. But there isnt to many down sides. kind of like ivermectin and covid smile

Bone Marrow Stem is only thing shown to regrow cartilage out side of grafts, but even then its not a rate high enough to reverse the need for implants

As if today we only have slowing

frog fuel is Collagen and amino acids, decent recovery with anti -inflammatory. Probably be good stack to add in with Glucosamine & chondroitin fir inflammation it would be safer on kidneys them long term NSAID use

^^ truth ^^. You’re not gonna take a pill and regrow/repair damaged cartilage. Might make you feel better though.

Old friend of mine met a chick on the online who was into figure competitions. He was in good shape as a younger guy but he let himself go, ate like chit and smoked way too much pot. Anyway him and this girl got together when he was about 43 or 45. She had maxed out in what she was able to achieve naturally so she started with the gear. Then he got on it. In two years time he looked completely different. I never got the entire cocktail he was on but he never got real big but he leaned out like you wouldn’t believe. Like 3% bf lean. This went on for a number of years until his kidneys started shutting down. He did some treatments and I believe quit for awhile but afterwards got back on it. He started having real issues and his liver went into failure. He was always bullchitting the doctors so one ordered a full lab panel and his test levels came in around 2000. As most know, normal levels are from 300 ish on the low end up to 800 or so on the high end. The jig was up and the doctor laid it out for him that if he didn’t quit he was gonna die.

He quit about a year ago and he now looks the same as he did before he started, has zero testosterone and feels like arse every day.

I try to tell people. You can’t maintain a body built on drugs via natural means. I have seen it a lot through the years. Steroids are popular among troops in combat.

I like cardarine though. The way i understand cardarine, it is a sarm of some sort. But it boost your endurance, it is pretty incredible. I used cardarine a couple of times with great results, and never noticed any decline. But I think it’s banned now, too.

I tried ostarine and GW also, and they sap your endurance away. Taking cardarine with them is not enough to save your endurance. Not worth it to me.

But sarms actually work. I don’t think anybody took them seriously until they got banned lol. Still you are probably gonna experience decline when you stop taking them.

I do think that test and HGH could be awesome with a doctors supervision. But it’s not something you can just give up once you start it, once you go down that road it is forever.

For those that it's not too late for, don't go down that road. I never wanted to and never did. I had some hunting partners 10 years younger than myself, all on T therapy, PED's, etc.........3 out of about 5 of them have all been to the ER with cardiac issues.

Same with OTC Glucosamine with Chondroitin and maybe MSM, soled my knee pain. Been taking daily for years and afraid if I stop the pain will return. Recommended by orthopedic Dr.
Nothing like a good shot of Orange in the mornings.

The juicing is going well. We make it about 4 times a week. Prep and clean up is stupid easy. Have definitely seen an increase in energy and it’s apparently helped increase metabolism because I’m always hungry now.
