I-10 between Harper and Comfort I counted 8 Troopers and 12 SD and locals. I got pulled over between Kerrville exits by a Beorne Police officer for no front plate. Seems like he was a little out of bounds but he wasn't the only Beorne cruiser I saw way west of the city limits.

Any idea what was going on out that way? Didn't see another cop for the next 200 miles.

There was an Amber Alert today and they found the two kids who were kidnapped. Not sure if this was it.

Noticed a high number of troopers on 59, between Victoria and George west over the weekend.

more than likely it was a task force they put together...idk how they do it down there with the locals but up here we have troopers from all different counties converge on one area and they target any and all violations but usually they are criminal interdiction focused type stops. And DPS has been so stretched thin with the border and capital assignments that local Criminal Interdiction Units are moving around and working different areas. North Texas CIU works all over from Smith County to Parker County to Grayson and Rockwall with a MOU from all the DA's in the counties they go work in. We just recently formed a VZC District Attorney Criminial Interdiction Unit.

Written warning. No plate and no registration.

Side note

Warning says Kendall Co but it was issued in Kerr Co by about 15 miles.

good, this is an old law which needs to be made "optional."

Talking about a heavy police presence eeks333

Met my sister for lunch today at the Luby's off of Hampton Rd. & Hwy 67 in Oak Cliff.
There had to be around 12 -14 Police officers sitting at four different tables apart from each other, there was one table with 6 of them. Wonder if they get free lunch or just a popular place for them them to eat?

1/2 off and it's already made/visible so it can't be tampered with.

I thought the same thing yesterday around lunch in Carrollton, a lot of officers out and about. Happy to have them!

Use to love Luby's, good food, portions, quick service and a dang good bang for your buck.
They always had a cart girl/woman walking around with tea and condiments on it politely asking if you needed anything.
Not so much anymore. Had my favorite Livers & Onions with Sweet Potato's, Red Beans, roll and tea.
Liver was bland, sweet potatoes weren't sweet, beans, roll and tea were okay good.

It was my treat so when I was paying with my AMEX the guy at the register asked me if I wanted to get cash back to tip my waitress?
Struck me as odd since I already had my food and tea, what does this waitress do? Put a couple of dollars on the table for the quasi waitress even though we were still there chatting.
I could tell she was disappointed when she saw only two dollars but hey, its two more dollars than she had before.

So does that make me a cheap Bastage for only leaving two bucks, whats your thought?
Back in the days they called restaurant/cafeteria workers who did those menial task busboys.

Met a friend for lunch at Charco Broiler Steakhouse on Jefferson Blvd. in Oak Cliff today.
Our fine gents in Blue must get 1/2 discount there also.

Get ready for a strong presence this week on Hwy 108 & 281 just north of stephenville. It's Larry Joe Taylor festival this week. I really hate all the idiots it brings out this way, not to mention jamming up my drive home with campers galore lol

Greenville/Hunt County have been part of a High Drug Interdiction Unit along I 30 for a while, think they still are.
Covers most of I 30 from here to Texarkana. Local PDs, County and DPS are all part.
I used to pick up a lot of traffic on my scanner. Tickets, searches, busts.
One day a few years back I saw six vehicles pulled over by various LEOs between Greenville and Sulphur Springs. ,

Yea that’s the NTXCIU…they go all over to counties that their members are from. They cover Parker county, Collin, Hunt, Rockwall, and smith for sure. Possibly more now.

30 East has been like this for decades, to me it doesn’t seem as bad as it was in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Back in 1996 Bam Morris was busted in Rockwall county with six pounds of pot and was cut from the Steelers after pleading guilty.
