Need to purchase some corn feeders.. looking at ASF or boss buck 600lb stand and fill? Any input or other recommendations?

Currently using boss buck protein feeders and they work fine.

Choose very carefully. I was reminded today...after 3 years of dealing with a couple that many on here could not quit raving about, many wouldn't know a well-designed feeder if it bit them in the butt. (They're no longer made. ) So much for them internets.

For the money ($479) I would buy at Buckey's. Texas Wildlife Supply feeder is $800 for the 600# but very solid. I have both.

Really building a good feeder is pretty simple. I say this as some who them for years. First of all most people prefer a 12 volt system, so when it comes to the motor make sure you get one that has a 1/4" shaft. In all my tears and I have never seen one fail, not saying it hasn't or couldn't happen but they are very reliable. Timers can be cheap (39.00), there's a reason, spend another 30.00 and use something like "The Timer" you won't be sorry. The two other main failures on feeders is moisture and critters. Moisture is pretty simple on a fitty five gallon barrel a metal lid with a 3' lip will do the trick once again another 30-40 dollars. When it comes to critters I used to say that my winch feeders were designed to stand up to wild hogs and mad cows. I never put any fencing up to protect them. They never got turned over and are still in use 20 plus years later, along with the same motor an timer. Then there are coons. I think God put them on earth just to watch us try to keep them out. don't tell me about the ELIMINATOR if it works for you that's great. I bought two put one out on my feeder so I could take down my cage. Went back three weeks later and they ha used it as a may pole.
Today the rage is the Stand and fill feeders just keep this in mind when shopping for a feeder, if a coon can reach the spinner you will have problems, end of discussion. A lesser known company by the name of "THE JUDGE" has a good design but the motor is in the corn thus if you have issues you have to empty the feeder.

Just bought a couple Of "Big Daddy Feeders" and have to say I was impressed. Best I've seen in 40 years.

Just looked at them, and they doo look good The biggest downside to most of the newer stand and fill is the cage most of the time it's too small and coons will get to the spinner. These do look to be larger where you can get around the FCU to adjust it if need be, Congratulations.

The Big Daddys appear to have a varmit cage like so many others that would really restrict the corn from being thrown as far as I would like.

The treeline 350 and 600 from tractor supply are good. Got 2 last spring and their working great. They have 12v motors and the eliminator spin plate.

I totally agree with you! I bought two and they are great! Easy to fill and you don't have to worry about racoons!! They are pretty heavy and won't get blown over and hogs won't move them iif they are staked down on the skids (openings available for stakes).
