What is your target species. Let us know and I'll PM you if it is one I hunt there.

No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

I hunted ducks there with some buddies for a few years going back to about 10 years ago. It's crowded at times and you've got to get out there incredibly early (like 3:00 am) to claim blinds your group might have already constructed. Drive was ~100 miles round trip. We didn't have boat, so that would probably make things better, but the number of ducks flying just didn't justify all of that for me.

There are quite a few pigs around. Duck hunting is hit or miss, but I think that's just duck hunting. I have several buddies that do fairly well. I don't know that there's much else you can hunt. Depending on what you're looking to hunt, there are better places than Ray Bob, in my opinion. If you're looking for deer/pigs, shoot me a pm and I can suggest a few spots.

I live out there, pigs roam and don't stay in one area long and you can only hunt them outside of duck season with a bow. Plenty of small game like squirrels and rabbits shotgun only if that is your thing and then duck hunting. Ducks have been poor for me so far this year but admittedly I don't scout and only hunt behind my house. Anyway there are a lot of nice areas and every year during public comment I suggest draw archery hunts for deer but it seems they want to keep it pretty much ducks and archery pigs. They would rather we run over the deer with cars than manage the population with hunting.
