Guys, A rancher I know is wanting to lease this place. It's 5000 acres and it's all in one piece. It's west of turkey and north a little between the Red River and the Little Red. It borders and takes in both of the rivers. I really liked this place but this place is made for gun hunters and my group are bow hunters. I really think it's a big buck spot. It has mainly whitetails, hogs, turkey, dove, quail.
We drove it out in the middle of the day and jumped about 15-20 whitetails.I am not a broker or lease manager or any of that stuff. This rancher is good people. I don't know if he's wanting to do it by the acre or by the gun but if anyone's interested let me know and I will find out. It almost being Sept he might not care.

Yep that's pretty cheap for that area. It's still available. Some guys said they wanted it but couldn't come up with the $$$. The rancher is still wanting to lease it if you know of anyone.

Matthews - as we both know, that area in Collingsworth, Wheeler and Hall Counties has some fantastic deer with generally very little hunting pressure. I will pass on the information to anyone looking up in that direction. I still cant believe that he only is asking $3 per ac, I wish I could talk our landowners into that type of deal as we are certainly paying more than that for our places.

I have hunted the land that borders this. I have to say, you have two very public areas on each side with ATV's allowed and VERY sandy soil. And it can flood. $3 to $5 an acre is fair as all the deer will be in this place and not coming from the ag fields....
