Still effective noise suppression? I guess just the .22lr filth?

Rimfire suppressors have the right threads, are able to be disassembled for cleaning and are cheap. The real question here is why?

Just buy a rimfire suppressor Buzz and quit trying to be cheap. Mask or Erector are the two I’d look at. I got a “free” SilencerCo, it’s alright. I think it’s a warlock.

What Judd said.

They are typically aluminum and very small. Thus the low price.

I use a 30 cal Specwar on my 22 and you only hear the empty brass ejecting. Yes I should get a 22 can but this works fine for squirrels in the back yard.

This is a good way to foul out a 30 cal silencer. Many of them are welded closed and are not even serviceable.

Not a good idea to shoot rim fire ammo through a sealed center-fire can. You can soak it in a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and 3% hydrogen peroxide and it will dissolve the lead fouling but you can very easily hurt yourself with the liquid mixture when you are done.

Trolling? Heck no, I meant every word of it.

That’s the best choice.

I'm not suggesting it is a good idea either but aren't most cans serviceable? I don't think I've seen a sealed can.

I have dozens of centerfire cans and with few exceptions all of them are welded together.
