... message from ATF's call center in D.C. that they have intel that criminal organizations will attempt to purchase large caliber and or belt-fed weapons over the next 60 days throughout Texas, and to please let ATF/law enforcement know if you are aware of any such attempts or finalized sales. I have a C&R, so was on the call list. Not my favorite agency of all time, but I would sure cooperate, assuming this is cartel activity. I have always had courteous/professional dealings with ATF over the past 20-30 years.

Also just got it as an email. Here is the verbatim wording:
"Law enforcement is advising Federal Firearms Licensees of expanding interest of criminal networks’ intention to utilize straw purchasers in acquiring large caliber firearms such as .50 caliber and/or belt fed rifles within the next 60 days. This activity is anticipated to occur throughout the entire State of Texas. Please contact your local ATF office if any suspicious, attempted or finalized purchases occur."

If they were smart they would do everything in their power not to alienate people that are for the most part very supportive of law enforcement.

No cartel members are try to buy belt fed guns in the US. They can get all that they want on the illicit market or directly from the DEA or CIA.

More than likely just another attempt for them to end straw purchases under this administration.

Create the problem by letting our State/Country be invaded, then force feed the "solution" for the better good = more restrictions/less freedom for the law abiding.
