Anyone use a shotkam and has it helped you improve at all?
First time shooting sporting clays this weekend and I sucked worse than I thought :-). Only shooting a 38.
I am not sure if it is my lead, follow through or what.
I had thought about lessons, but at $150+ and hour, the shotkam price isn't that unrealistic.

Will the Shotkam check your stance, gun hold point, and a long list of things that a level 3 coach can in a matter of minutes. Save your money and get that coach. Years ago I was a master class shooter in the NSCA and I still took an occasional lesson when I had an issue to work on.

Shotkam works remarkedly good, Instant feedback on each shot. I shot with a buddy who has one on his new Blaser. Its an awesome tool. Think they have a $100 coupon out. Make it $900.
If you are really serious about getting better, I agree with Frio. It's amazing how a good coach can spot what you are doing wrong immediately.
If you can swing it, go both

Frio This is spot on. A shot cam will show you where your shot goes but not why. Save your Money for lessons or more ammo

Shotkam can identify more issues than just lead.
