The one time I've been there, went to some large wooden structured restaurant that was serving buffet style "all you can eat" catfish and hushpuppies (regular and jalapeno); apparently a county/town staple there. For me it was good, not great.

When I used to hunt in Comanche county, I'd go to Deleon to eat.

Some good food there if you know where to look

The catfish restaurant mentioned above is called Cook's Fish Barn and is open on the weekends between Comanche and Rising Star. The food is good and their homemade cocktail sauce is the best I've ever had

Los Juanes mexican is pretty tasty and their son cooks great texas brisket that you can buy in BBQ or Mexican format. Great breakfast burritos as well

Harvest restaruant is fantastic and has an ever-evolving menu of higher end meals

El Tapatio just opened and has a great menu of mexican dishes and a nice little bar

I’ve heard great things about El Tapatio from some Comanche county locals.

Haven't been in years. There used to be a great home cooking buffet in the 90's
