I am booking Kansas pheasant hunts. The season starts November 14. The hunt will be guided or semi guided depending on what you prefer. The guide will take you around to the ground and put you on wild roosters and quail. You can shoot 4 roosters and 8 quail per day. The cost of the hunt is 100.00 per day and lodging if desired is 35 per night per person. There are many birds in this area. We had a great hatch of birds this year and am looking forward to putting you guys on some birds. We can also do a combo hunt for waterfowl also.

I am located in central kansas. (Larned) I have 8000 acres used in pheasant hunting. I have 23000 acres leased. I have 4 full quarters of crp grass. I also have an 80 acre plot. For smaller groups I have crp corners that are loaded with birds. These work out nice for groups of 8 or smaller. I also have corn milo and wheat stubble. We also like to hunt tree belt in the afternoon where the pheasants hold up until they feed in the late after noon.

I guess the last question would be how would you rate your bird numbers this year..both pheasant & quail? Does a hunter who can walk and shoot well stand a decent chance of getting his 4 birds/day? I take it quail would be incidental to pheasant hunting or do you have enough birds to focus on quail and stand a chance of getting an 8 bird limit?

We have had a great hatch in my area this year. If you can shoot you should not have a problem getting your limit of birds. Quail hunting is not amazing compared to other parts of the country. We have a fair number of quail. They tend to stick around our rivers and creeks. This is why if there is not a large number of hunters I like to walk out shelter belts and creeks to put the hunters in front of quail. If I had to guess you could shoot 3-4 pheasants and shoot close to a half limit of quail a day.

Do you do deer hunts? If so, what unit(s). I bow hunt and drew a tag for 15 and 16.

I do offer deer hunts. I offer semi guided, guided. I am located in unit 5. I have many miles of creeks and river ground. My semi guided hunts are 1500 dollars for a 7 day archery hunt. My fully guided hunts are 2500. I offer these prices because I do not have a lot of money wraped up in leasing all of my ground I have been fortunate and am offering affordable hunts on my ground. I had a great hunt with Justin on November 17th. He has access to a huge amount of land with good cover for pheasants and quail.

It turned out to be a great hunt. We ended up with our limit on quail and one short of our limit on pheasants. We could have easily got our last pheasant if we hadn't gotten so excited about the quail. It was quite a treat for me to get into that many quail. I have gotten a lot of good pheasant hunting the last few years but the quail have been hard to find.

Here are a couple of pictures, unfortunately they were taken after dark so you can't really see what a great day we had for hunting.
