Have you been tested for Carpal Tunnel? I had trigger finger in my middle finger of my left hand. Got a steroid shot and was good for about 6mo until it came back, also started getting numbness in that hand. Got the nerve test and was diagnosed with CT. Had surgery last month and all is well now.

Hey, Jimbo. Yes, I've had carpal tunnel for years. I got surgery on my left hand, but never had it done on my right. The arthritis is worse in my left hand though so go figure. I used to have the numbness, but no more. Happy to hear your surgery went well. Best.

Arthritis makes carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome worse. Dont know how long its been since you had the one hand fixed, but surgey now rakes more time to stick you back up then fix. I have had both hand/elbow fixed for carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome fixed. Each time it was less then 10 days before I was back up and running

It's been, probably, 15 years or more.

Had my left hand done June 16 and took longer for me to wake up than the surgery. I was back working at the lease 2 weeks later. DR said it might take a year to fully heal and to just let up when it started hurting. He's done both my arms for "tennis elbow," my wife's both hands for CT, and now my left hand. He treats us as family now after all these years!

Geez, I’m gonna quit whining about my arthritis. Compared to some of ya’ll I feel young and spry - while I’m drinking anyway… grin

I think it's akin to torture.

My family Doc recently told me that it was safe for me to take 2 extra strength Tylenols 3 times per day for my back and knee pain from Arthritis. I’m not real knowledgeable regarding this stuff but that sounds like an overload to me. I’m doing it twice per day. Seems to be working somewhat or maybe OK. I’m walking a mile per day(most days) and sometimes do it twice. Admittedly, sometimes the back pain and forgetfulness keeps me home.

I take 2 650mg “arthritis strength” generics twice a day (most days) for my back and overall pain.

Watch your liver function while taking higher doses of Tylenol/Acetaminophen.

Sometimes I take 1 tylenol and 1 ibuprofen together and that seems to work. Too much of either is not good.

It's not, but that combination is okay because Ibuprofen is an NSAID and is processed through the kidneys. Tylenol is processed through the liver. You don't want to take 2 NSAIDs together because it can overload the kidneys.

My Rheumatologist just put me on Hydroxychloroquine for arthritis pain in my hands.
She said it’s safer and more effective then OTC pain killers. It takes a couple of weeks to but it seems to be working great.

My hand pain mostly went away for a good while, but with all the lathe turning last week and chainsawing today, my left hand was talking to me just now. I’ll take an Advil soon. This aging business is a problem sometimes.

I had a bird dog I was teaching to Heel a couple of years ago. I snapped him back with the choke chain and injured my pinkey. That SOB hurt for two years. I switched from cold beer to Vodka and it went away!
