Gotta love a good old greasy beef and bean burrito when you headed to the lease! My son and his friend call them "BR's" (butt rockets) because they work the same as Exlax!

we don't have a Allsups on the way but several places have the fried burritos, but the last few years I've discovered the CHRISPITO !!!! man they're great!

You must have a cast iron gut if you eat the ones in Jacksboro. We have a guy out here at work that lives on them and Dr. Pepper. He has become immune to the effects!

In college there was an Allsups about a half mile towards town from the house. We used to hit them at 11:30 p.m. when they changed out the fried stuff that had been sitting there. They'd sell us everything in the case for 5 bucks. We used to come back to the party with two bags full of burritos, corn dogs, sausage sticks, egg rolls, and those hamburger and jalapenos wrapped in a tortilla. Those were the good ol days!

The Allsups down the road from my house is run by a Somalian couple, they're mean as hell. I can't stay away from the burritos, though.
That bizzo is stingy with the hot sauce, too. I always make her go back and get some more. Pissing her off is almost as much fun as eating the first bite.

Always hit the Allsups in Olney on the way out from the lease. Them things will tear you up but I cant seem to stop eating them. It is a ritual!

I remember a trip to Turkey for Bob Wills Days back in '94. We went the scenic route through Olney, Seymour,Benjamin, Guthrie, Paducah and such. We were drunker than hell and the 'ol boy I was riding with was funnier than hell when he was sober , much less drunk. Well about 3/4 of the way up there, he looks at me as straight faced as I've ever seen him and says "If I see another F'n Allsups on this trip I'm gonna burn the sumb**ch to the ground." Funny thing is we stayed our first night in Turkey in the Allsups parking lot and used the bathroom there for a cowboy shower and to brush the teeth, which by then felt like they were covered in little sweaters. Back to the story though, we stayed in the mud pit and park for 2 days and his brother would come by every 3 hours or so and throw us one of them gutbombs from allsups. Kept us alive that weekend. Ahhh the good ol days.

Man, I'm glad I don't eat that crap anymore. I think I have singlehandedly supported Lonnie Allsupp thru the years. No more. Since I quit drinking soda pops, I don't even go in convenience stores anymore.

The mexi-burger is a fav of mine also.
Living in a small town in west Texas has it's perks, one of them is Alsups. Alsups is the place to hit after a long night of drinking. I can't count how many times I've stumbled in there at 2am;
"Gimme two burrotios, two chimichangas, hot dog, mexiburgers, and chicken bites with lots of taco sauce".
It's only fitting that the cashier wears sweat pants, a dirty betty hoop shirt, and a smoke hanging from her lips.

Down here in the valley, we have Stripes fast food stores. Most of them have a kitchen. Every morning we head to the quail ranch, we stop is and get the ladies to put us together a couple of breakfast tacos of frijoles, potatoes, scrambled eggs, two slices of fried bacon wrapped in a flour tortilla with some warm picante sauce. That is chased with a cup of Green Mountain French Roast Coffee that I bring from the house.
BTW...when I lived in Amarillo, I used to get the Allsups gut bombs on the way to work. The Love's Truck Stop out on I-40 had some pretty mean ones, too. When you bite into them, you not only get the grease from the fried tortilla but also the grease from the frijoles. Um Um Good with some salsa verde.

allsups burritos, man that's good stuff. always get a few from the one in lake dallas b4 we go bowfishing. lot's of taco sauce! hard to beat 2 of them and a big dr. pepper.

Never get these on the way TO the lease. Unless you have plenty ice cream and baby wipes...they can make for a miserable weekend. And FYI - the ice cream isn't for your mouth. 
And for the love of everything good, NEVER eat them if you plan on wearing waders in the near future. 
I can eat the burritos and chimi 24 hours a day. I never pass an Allsups without picking one up.

We stop at the Allsups in Throckmorton on the way to the lease every time....whiz, gas, cokes, bag of levi, honey buns, beef jerky, and a bag of gut bombs....oh and dad gets his candy bars....we eat like a bunch of fat kids when the wifes turn us loose for the weekend...

Picked up 3 after leaving the lease yesterday....something has to be soo wrong with those things that they taste so good even after beeing under those lamps for God knows how long...

i always loved the fried food at allsups.. until.....
i worked for a security company in lubbock who had the contract to put CCD cameras in every allsups store in TX and NM.
after hearing stories about what a couple of clerks did in and around the food and fryer area, i had to stop eating the food there. needless to say, the clerks were not smart enough to realize they were being recorded 24 hrs a day.

The closest store to me is an allsups and infact Im eating a burrito know while getting the fire ready for my dove from this last season.All i need is the flame cause i got the gas. LOL

I stopped in the Allsups in Hamilton this last weekend and asked for a couple of there famous burritos and the gal behind the counter started laughing like she had heard about this .

Man I had to add to this.... Was out and about Friday night before me and two buddies hunted all day saturday.... after a couple of 18 packs we were hungry and headed to Allsups and knocked out 10 burritos between the three of us. Everything was good for all us us until about 3 that morning then BAM the bombs hit all of us and the race was on for the pot. Man, the hindu hotel we were staying in is going to have to get some plumbing work done because we did some major league damage to those pipe!!!!

The 2 allsup's in wellington made their money off the national guard unit when I was in. We would pretty much buy everything they had when the weekend training was going on .
Wasn't to good the next day if we had PT test and a lot of the day ws spent in the latrine.
But we survived on them things, went home several times and found leftover gut bombs in the seat , nothing like day old gut bombs.

LOL coolie76! I have got quite a few laughs from several peoples posts on this thread and cant believe there are so many of us out there that like these little golden fried, gut busting, gas causing, stool softening (I had to word it nice), heartburn initiating bundles of joy!
I started this thread way back last fall as kind of a joke but also serious. Our hunting group (including some of our wives LOL)thrive on of Allsups beef n bean burritos while we are at the lease. I think to alot of people heading out hunting it has almost become a tradition to make that stop at Allsups.
Yeah, I've had em fresh and I've had the ones that have been under the lamp for hours and I've even had to chunk a couple of them because they were overfried but it's a tradition we plan on keeping as long as there's an Allsups on the way to the lease.
Everyone have a great/ safe off season and maybe we will run into each other next fall at the Allsups in Jacksboro!
