Mix 1 beer into a cup and a half of flour. cover with a dish towel for a couple of hours. Dip the shrimp in it a fry to a golden brown. Good for onion rings also.

We use crushed saltine crackers. We dip em in a egg/milk mixture then coat them in the cracker mix.

You can also use pancake batter, something to try for a little different taste.

And please, always fry shrimp in fresh oil.

2 cups of flour, tablespoon of: sea salt, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and blackening seasoning. Combine.

Put combo in a bowl, add a 1/4 cup of water, begin whisking, then add club soda. Whisk together until batter is like pancake batter consistancy. You should be able to dip your finger into it, the batter to hand to your finger and not run off.

Fry.

The Japanese have the simpliest recipe of all in their tempura. 1 egg, 1 cup all purpose flour & 1 cup of ice water! Sometimes the simple things are the best! Try it.
