Others with more experience than me will chime in, but I am thinking 3 years old.

I think he is closer to 2 1/2. Not muscled up enough to be a 3+ and neck still shows connection at body.

I'm going to step out on a limb here. Judging by the picture, he's got the roman nose, dropped shoulders and his face looks more mature. The facial "triangle" looks pretty short. BUT, and thats a capital but, it COULD BE JUST THE PIC.
I'd smack his butt, if you have plenty of 8 pointers.

Under 5, anyway, because his back doesn't sag.
3ish is my bet.

Im going with atleast 4. To much muscle definition in front shoulder and nose might be older. Not all older bucks have the pot belly. After you shoot him let us know.

Not that old, looks like he has some width going for him and brow length, but a little weak on the G2's and 3's, so I'd give him one more year, that is if your neighbor doesn't shoot him!

I'll go with 3 1/2 he does have a roman nose, but long neck gives him away.

this is an absolutly terrible picture to age this deer. His back isn't sagging.....??? its hunched up, He is standing between strides.
best bet is to collect a few more pics, should be interesting to see how he turns out.

He's every bit of 4 or more.
The deer behind him blends in making his back look arched. He actually has a slight sway in his back behind the shoulders.
This time of year is tough in terms of the neck telling you anything, but he has a seam along the edge of his windpipe of loose skin that you don't see on a young buck or a doe.

Hard to judge this time of year but I'd say 3. Get some pics of him in October and then it will be a little bit more fool proof.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I'll try to get some better pictures of my cam next time. As a side note, there is no protein feeding going on in the general area of this feeder; only corn.

probably 3 years old. regardless of his actual age you should probably let him live for another couple years and he will turn into a real nice buck

Agreed, plus you dont get the neck thickness during the summer that you get when it gets winter time so that makes it harder and it appears that he has somewhat of a shorter/roman nose face on him.
