Hey Warthog, He seems to be enjoying himself up at Sheppard. He is learning a lot about F16s. I've been building the F16s for about 30 years at Lockeed here in Fort Worth, so I'm kind of proud that he gets to maintain them. I'm on the F35 program now, so eventually he will probably be on them when they phase out the F16. If you talk to him tell him is ole man said hey.

This is a picture of my son, LCpl. Nicholas Hughes, and his Mom & I before he deployed to Iraq Feb 2008. As you can tell in the picture, my wife is having a hard time seeing him leave. He will be heading to Afghanistan in less than a month.

Great pictures all, keep them coming and lets show everyone how proud we are of our kids defending the flag........no matter what...they are giving us our FREEDOMS to live the way we love.....

i am alittle late to this thread i know. i just got involed in this forum less than a week ago, but please let me say that to see such fine young men and women sure makes me proud to be a member of this great nation. and they speak well for the parents who raised them, and for young folks in genereal you always hear the bad on the young ones its nice to see the other side . god bless america and thanks to all of you .

My niece and her hubby. They were just married this past Saturday. He's been in Iraq since January. Next deployment after the 1st of the year. Very proud of both of them.

Yes Sir, I can remember when I myself was a young Seaman Apprentice. It was the begining of a pretty amazing journey. Can't believe it was almost 13 years ago. Man time flys. I thank your son for his courage and service. These are pretty tough times to be in the military (for those serving as well as for their families). Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

hadnt got any pictures yet but our son just made it to USMC boot camp last night! his poor ol mom is going nuts waiting on his call that he made it! LOL

One of the hardest things I've ever done was to send my son (and hunting partner) off to boot camp! Hang in there dad!

Here is my Son Michael. A former Marine who served two tours in Iraq and one in Kuwait. Now he's a MMA fighter with a 9 & 2 record. I also have three nephews serving in the Marines.
