LockOns=Hanging TreeStand - not a climber or a ladder stand

it depends on the set, but generally about 14' is the ABSOLUTE LOWEST! (generally in a big cedar or in an oak surrounded by lots of cedar, for bets cover)

I hang a lock on high when its not in great cover and try to keep it out of plain view as best as possible. this is about 18-21'+...get above 25' and its too high for me in a lock on (big oak or pecan where I can get up and utilize limbs for hanging or cover or anything)

If I can get it covered up well to stay really drowned out ill keep it around 14-17'...alot goes into making this type of stand huntable; cutting lanes and windows..brushing in stand...accessing potential shot spots

If I want to go really high i use a climber..with this ill go well over 25' and even on to 35' if i got a big pine or something to get that high. I have a few trees on my place in Salado with trees trimmed up for a climing stand!
Hope this helps!
