Well I've been a little tied up to say the least, but your post yesterday shamed me into working on it from 6-7:30 this morning. Got her on wheels at least!

Got to spend about 45 minutes on it this evening with the guys. We got all the uprights and top rails measured, cut and tacked on. I decided to make the top rail be flat across the whole length instead of following the dovetail, one big job for this one will be to load/unload steel sheets off of some runners up top so that's what will work best for me. I also need to figure out a way to make a pin-held support to attach to my zero turn, I want to be able to load it on, pin it in and go. No more straps for me! I will weld them up over the weekend and take measurements for the floor to be cut on the plasma table.

Very nice work! Ok I got sucked in what's the insulation deal. I been in the metal construction business several years and have no clue what he's talking about.

Garrett was just being stoopid, he always asks me about insulating fire boxes on smokers. I finally insulated one for my dad as a Christmas gift this year to shut Garrett up. Pretty close to done, yesterday we fabbed up the gate and hung it as well as the latches. A few weeks ago I cut the fenders out of 11 gauge floor plate, my 300 lb [censored] can stand on them without flexing. All that's left is the light enclosures, hookup points, and drilling some holes for running lights and she's ready for paint. Going this week to get it registered. The tailgate is 2x2x11GA on the borders, 3x2x3/16 angle for the lip that touches the ground, and crossmembers are 2x2x14GA on 12" centers. I used the same heavy duty raised expanded metal that we use on our wood grates on grill and smokers, it won't ever need replacing from bending!

Looking real good bud and solid as a rock, definitely not designed to be pulled with a Prius! You need to name those "The fullback"

You need a 24 to split the difference between the 16 & 32 I understand. I used to pull, and back, a 20' gooseneck loaded with skidsteer and implements. It can be placed surgically, anywhere, and wasn't a heavy trailer, just handy! I had a 24'gooseneck, and it's long enough that I might as well use my 32'. But my 32' is 7k empty. That's why I want a 20' gooseneck, just don't always need the length and capacity of the 32' and the trailer is easier to maneuver and weighs less.

BP, this is "fireman" you're talking about, he will build a 12'er with an 8' pull out extension with a couple of drop down axles
