While driving the fenceline to pick up a couple doe we shot, I saw the north neighbor had put some fold up chairs along well worn game trails, bungee corded them to the fence...I guess an effort to keep the deer from traveling those trails and maybe keep them out of the property I lease? Right before season started they put up the "no trespassing" signs all down the fence line and opening day of archery season they drove on their property right before as right after sunset with no apparent reason seen (could have been doing anything and I just shrugged it off to them enjoying their land). They have a feeder and a tripod on the property, but spatially in two different parts of their property, and I have never seen anyone hunt there....their attempt to clog the game trails was unsuccessful as we had 39 deer show tonight, majority from their property.

Neighbor did that with a pink pop up blind next the ranch we lease. I guess he thought it would deter the deer, it didn't......

I lease the property so I am not doing anything to be passive aggressive toward the neighbor unless the land owner tells me to do such things....having said that, I have to laugh at this feeble attempt at deterring deer. I half expect a mannequin to be sitting in the chairs next trip out. A blow up doll would be very fitting....if only....

congrats on deer... Last lease had our sons stand was 100 ytds or so off fence line set up on trail crossing... When walking fence line ta check on him, noticed other side fence they set up paralel, a chair bout 5ft from fence & bout 50yrds corn on ground 5ft from fence... Our lease no water... Son took deer every year... Was walking fence line, one day, guy was in chair, we chatted, ...
Told him our son was back behind him at bottom hill, 100 yrds in, also had hunter ruffly 100yrds in front, ruffly 100yrds in... told him we had no water on our side, found out they had, couple small ponds... Told en if they got deer, & it jumped fence, were our camp & entrance was, & we'd help recover deer, he did same...

Other property line, first got lease, walked it ta know boundary, noticed a platform in tree, next ta fence, then on our side box feeder, hanging from tree, with corn in it.... Did take corn, an left note, letting no place leased... Later had chatted with land owner, subject never brought up. They just friendly hunter & land owner...

I would show your picture to the land owner, if he hasn't already seen the chair, just so he knows what he's dealing with.

If you talk to the game warden, ask him for his card. Tape it to the chair. It will be gone!

You should set up a chair opposite of that to make it look like a reflection, just to throw them off when they see it!

I find pictures of furniture in bondage to be disturbing. It is cruel to tie up a chair and to abandon it like that. Your neighbor has no respect for furniture. I think that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Armchairs) would be interested in hearing about this!

A chair is the next best thing to a HF hell he should just put up a 4 ft section of HF on all the trails.

Before my next trip out, I'd find a non-working TV (preferrably a flat screen) and an old DirctTV dish . Set you a little post about 6' on your side of the fence, put the dish on top, and hang the TV pointed toward the chair. Add the previously mentioned beer can and Cheetos.

Be sure to hide a game cam and post the videos.

I'd have so much fun with that idiot.

Best to just leave him alone. Getting him ramped up would not be good. He's harmless so far.

Dump your carcasses off behind the chair

Play the good neighbor card, call him up and tell him that he forgot and left his chair by the fence. Just to see how he replies.
