I came face to face with one once and I'll tell you they don't show fear. We had a stare down and then it just scurried off to my relief.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Where the heck are you seeing badgers in Texas? Have seen them on game cameras several times in West Texas. Sitting right under the feeder owning that mutha

Where the heck are you seeing badgers in Texas? Mills County has lots of Badgers. I made the mistake years ago of shooting one, putting it in an empty feed sack, and chunking it in the back of a full cab CJ7 with me. I made it about a hundred yards before I stopped and unloaded it.

It's the First I've captured on the camera. They are very elusive and we rarely get them on camera. We have trapped a few though. When you see large piles of fresh dirt you know they've been through.

Where the heck are you seeing badgers in Texas? A buddy of mine killed one on a lease we used to have in Putnam and we found a dead one at another buddy's place between Ranger and Breckenridge. They're all over Texas. Forgot to add - my vote on the pic is a badger.
