For all of you guys that are looking for some long term job security making more money than most please check out these few companies; Kirbycorp.com, blesseymarine.com, martinmarine.com. these companies are hiring, will train (paid training), bonuses, job security, very competitive pay, full benefits, retirement, etc.. i work for Blessey Marine Services and the pay is great. I couldn't ask to work for a better company where you are known as your name and not just another body on the payroll. if you don't need or mind being away from home every night then give em a call. hope this helps. if you have never worked in the merchant mariner industry then you will most likely be starting off at or initially be applying for a Deckhand Position and you will advance quickly depending on the person of course. some people learn quicker than others, but the only draw backs to the job are time away from home and you work out in the weather often. good luck!!!

Hello fellow THF'ers,

Times are tough on us all. Bills are tough and money is tight but as long as you have a good pair of work boots, a pair of good gloves and the "want to", there is still a way to make it work.

I'm doing tree removal/ trimming and brush work in the greater D/FW area. I do have a regular job making steel , but they have cut us back to 36 measley hours per week no OT. If you have some brush work or trees that need to be pulled or cleaned up I would sure appreciate the opportunity to do the work for you. Since it isn't my 9-5 so to speak I can usually do the job much cheaper than the big boys. I have all the equipment and trailers. Let me know if there is something I can help you with. My contact informatin follows. Cell 817-209-7758 (please leave a message) and my email is tarrington01@gmail.com

Regards,

Ty

Looking for work in the Irving/DFW area. I am a college student (journalism major) and I have a knack for customer service. I am an excellent writer, but the writing industry is somewhat in the gutter at this time.

I was recently laid off and have one year of school left. I have looked up and down and have not been able to find anyone in the area that is hiring.

I can also do yard work, odd jobs, construction, or anything else to earn a little extra cash.

If you or anyone you know of is hiring, please pm me.

Best Regards,

Brandon

Well, my job offer is a bit out of the normal in comparison to the rest of these however, to the right person, it's a dream job.

We own a small ranch and large kennel of gundogs. I'm looking for someone to run it for me. Pay is $1500-$2000 a month plus free housing in a log cabin overlooking our lake (not some rustic old cabin, it's completely updated with heated tile floors in the bathroom, stainless appliances and hard wood floors throughout). Company paid hunting trips all over the country (including Hawaii). Skills needed are a basic knowledge of farm life, hunting and dog training would be great however I can teach the right person. Here is a link to a tour of our ranch and the website is in the signature at the bottom to see what we do and who we are.

Let me take care of your home repair/remodeling needs. I have over 10 years exp in commercial construction, and have branched out into residential as a side venture over the past year due to rumors of lay-offs.

The rumors were true and my residential side business is my full time job now. Anything I can do to make your home a more enjoyable place to spend your time, just let me know.

Thanks
