Through some cold water running down my thigh, looks like I got a hole in my waders.
I'm currently using some cheap waders (3mm neo), I have never really needed anything fancy as I only use them to retreive Ducks and dekes, as we hunt from the shore.
Any recommendation for patching or new waders at a good price point?
5ft 10 250lbs.... So not a small guy but not tall.
Thanks

Breathable.....Cabelas Dry Plus. Good down to 30 degrees.

3/5 Mil Neo......Cabelas Supermag 1600. Good for sub freezing temps

By a boot size 2 sizes larger, and wear multiple layers of socks. Your toes and toenails will thank you for it.

My boy is growing so fast I hate to spend tons of money on waders...bought him a pair of Game Winner at Academy the other day...$89..Neoprene...that's a hard price to beat. Pretty decent waders too...reinforced knees...not the rip stop, but I've never been able to tell much difference in them and the rip stop anyway.

Cody that's what I was using. Got them on sale for $40 last year, great deal and I really can't hate since they lasted through that season.

Just bought some neoprene booted waders from academy for 89.00.
Used 3 times and they work for me so far.
Don't recall the brand but they are in the circular.

It ain't easy being me.

I have a pair that have never been out of the box and plastic bag from a 'gator hunt a "friend" invited me on, told me to buy waders, then canceled the trip. Been sitting in my garage for years. Think I paid 100.00. Free to you if you'll get them out of my garage. Hodgman Brighton neoprene, size 12 Reg. If your screen name means you're in the Hondo area (777 Ranch?), might be worth a drive over to the Fair Oaks/Boerne area. Let me know if you're interested and I'll post a pic, if my wife stops Christmas shopping on our PC.

I actually had a pair of these. They worked well, not extremely warm but they did a good job. I bought them for $39 on sale a couple years ago.

Fyi: just bought the DU 3.5mm wader Cabelas had half off for Bf. I was gonna test them this morning but my bed would amy let go of me.

Academy and bass pro still have a no questions asked return on their waders if they leak, while hodgman won't even talk about exchanging the waders once the have a hole. Just something to think about

I have had 3 pair of redhead extreme in the last 7 years. The first pair leaked within 8-9 trips and I took them back and exchanged no questions asked. That was towards the end of a season. Next season before the split, started leaking in the crotch. Took them back and was determined not to get another pair, but they traded them out no questions asked. The 3rd pair are on season 5 with no problems. They are warm and comfortable. I won't hesitate to get another pair when these wear out. Usually find them on sale for less than $150. Coach

LaCrosse Alpha Swampfox breathables. They last longer than anything else I've ever tried, and they're very comfortable. To hell with all that thick uncomfortble neoprene. There's plenty of room for the "husky" guys at any given size. Also, getting cold has never been an issue with the correct layering underneath. The boots are insulated, and they have a feature that grips your ankles so you can't pull your feet out of them easily in the mud.

Not sure if you still have your old waders with the hole in them or not but, if you do just get some shoe goop from walmart you can easily patch a small hole with that, only $5 also. It's always nice to have a pair of back up waders.
